Hi I’m Hayley Anderson; I am a professional organizer in Apex, NC. I am so happy you found your way to my page. I spent the first 15 years of my career as a kindergarten teacher. The skills and the love I took away from that career are priceless.
I realized so much of what I did everyday in education was based on organization: emails, stacks of papers, files, meetings, classes, just walking the students down the hallway, and, of course, managing an entire room of supplies I needed to make my teaching flow.
I have learned that you cannot successfully nurture and develop little minds everyday, run weekly leadership meetings, keep your own home running and be UNORGANIZED! After spending all those years in public education, the passion I have for helping others grow is a major part of who I am today. So this career feels like a natural progression on this epic adventure we call life.
Meraki Home Organization was officially founded in 2020, but I have been organizing my entire life. I’ve always found reasons to organize anything and everything in my home, work, and for other people in my life – friends who are moving, my husband’s tool collection, refrigerator shelves, my classroom supplies (over and over again), the ever-challenging linen closet with the dreaded fitted sheets (there’s a secret to folding those; I can teach you), my best friend’s house before her new baby arrived, and junk drawers (oh how I love to tackle a good junk drawer!).
You name it, I have organized it. The feeling I have doing this and the satisfaction of helping people was enough motivation to become a full-time professional. I took classes, became a member of The National Association of Productivity & Organizing, and read all the books I could get my hands on to learn and hone my natural talent for finding order in chaos.
I currently live in Apex with my husband, dog, two cats, and fish. I love cooking, crafting, the outdoors, and camping, especially because I get an excuse to organize our camping gear every time we get it out! I am, at heart, an individual that loves to help others and make their lives easier, and listening with patience is always at the forefront of every project I do.
